Physical therapists in California are fighting AB 783 which allows physicians to profit from referring patients to physical therapy services owned by the doctors. AB 783 would override current state law (Moscone-Knox Act) preventing physician corporations from employing physical therapists and referring patients to their own physical therapy clinics.

According to The Physical Therapy Practice Act, section 12-41-113, C.R.S. Physical Therapist Assistants are not licensed in Colorado. As such, Colorado does not offer the Physical Therapist Assistant examination.
